Broken camera

My oktomat camera quit working. I am not sure if I am just not putting the film in correctly or what, but the camera takes each seperate exposure within thirty seconds of the next one. I thought this was weird since the camera does not use batteries and a wheel is suppossed to pull the film across to take the pictures. Anyone have any suggestions?

Lomography

I forgot to mention that the oktomat camera takes pics that are considered lomography.

Christmas family photos

I took some family photos for a friend this weekend. I did not have much scenery to work with, but I was definitely up for the challenge. I need more practice. I have been considering going to look for a position as an assistant to a photographer in town...

 

 

 

 

 

oktomat

Got a new camera...the oktomat! It takes eight pictures in sequence within two seconds. The point is to move the camera or take a picture of a moving object. Here is what I have so far...

I never wear makeup because it is too much of a bother and I think people are generally more attractive without it. I am a fan of the natural look. However, for Halloween this year I dressed up as a smurfette and deciding to don some makeup...I was very impressed with my own turnout.

 

The Tv setting is my new best friend.

I have found a new source of art...scanners. All night I have been creating scanner art with jewelry, roses, cut out words, and of course photos. 

 

 

Pale Wall Portraits

Got bored today. It was a weird day (44 degrees!) and it made some interesting pictures. Using the Tv setting, I got some very pale pictures on a gray wall. 

And then I got some not so pale ones on P setting...

 

 

 

 

 

 

Picture Epiphany

One time at Walmart (when I was like 10) my mom and I were at the photo center and saw these girls printing out their pictures. Their pics were very different from any I had ever seen, (my mom was not exactly Annie Leibovitz) and they I was kind of mesmorized by them. Now I realize that they had layered several pictures that they had taken, but then the pics were inspiring.

I just thought I would share this precious moment.

Baby shots

I often babysit of my boss and last time I tried to take some pics of her 4 month old son. I am in love with him. I found it very difficult to get a good shot without a flash because he is constantly moving, but the flash makes his skin look shiny. So here's what I got. These are the first pics I have ever taken of an infant.

I know that you are supposed to use soft light when photographing children, but that is a lot harder said than done. 

Iphone Art

I love my iPhone, mostly because I love the camera and camera apps on it. My favorite app is the polarize that takes polariod pics...

 

 

 

 I also have an art app that changes your pics into works of art...

And a toycamera app...I have seen toycameras in real life and they are soooo cool. Next on my list of stuff to get...

Finally I have the camera bag that allows you to take pics and then choose what changes you would like to make to them...
